In honor of Kara’s passion and love for James Madison University, each year a memorial scholarship will be awarded through the financial aid department at JMU to a first year student from Prince William County, Virginia who best exemplifies the tenacity and drive that Kara displayed throughout every aspect of her life.

The ideal candidate should possess a high degree of high school and community involvement, a commitment to serving others, and a dedication to pursuing their educational goals at James Madison.
